Prof. Dr. Alessandra VECCHI

Since July 2022 Alessandra Vecchi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environment and Prevention Sciences of the University of Ferrara. Before that she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Bologna, the world’s oldest university. She held a Marie Curie Fellowship from 2012 to 2018 on Chinese Acquisitions of Made in Italy firms. The aim of the project has been to identify the distinctive motives, barriers, opportunities along with integrations studies that characterized the Chinese acquisitions. The project has led to a copious stream of publications and presentations at high profile international conferences and an edited book ‘Chinese Acquisitions in Developed Countries - Operational Challenges and Opportunities’ published by Springer (2019).

She is also a Reader with London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, with an established career in the field of International Fashion Business Management. She has developed a significant body of work in this disciplinary field, drawing together research in International Business, International Marketing, Operations Management, and Fashion Management.

Alessandra is also an active member of CHERN (China in Europe Research Network), as she currently contributes to Working Group 2 (High-tech and innovation driven investments and acquisitions) and 4 (Public Diplomacy and Knowledge Production).
